Matthew 24:44-51 Be ready 예비하고 있으라 마태복음

An old couple was having problems remembering things, so they decided to go to their doctor to get checked out to make sure nothing was wrong with them. When they arrived at the doctor's, they explained to the doctor about the problems they were having with their memory. After checking the couple out, the doctor tells them that they were physically okay but might want to start writing things down and make notes to help them remember things. The couple thanked the doctor and left.  Later that night while watching TV, the old man got up from his chair and his wife asks, "Where are you going?"  He replies, "To the kitchen."  She asks, "Will you get me a bowl of ice cream?"  He replies, "Sure."She then asks him, "Don't you think you should write it down so you can remember it?"  He says, "No, I can remember that. I She then says, "Well I also would like some strawberries on top. You had better write that down cause I know you'll forget that."  “I’m not going to forget it"   After about 20 minutes he returns from the kitchen and hands her a plate of bacon and eggs. She stared at the plate and shook her head. And she said, “I knew this was going to happen, you forgot my toast.”

오래된 노 부부가 살고 있었는데 , 그 부부의 문제는 잘 기억하지 못한다는 것이었습니다. 그래서  노 부부는 의사를 찾아갔습니다. 의사로부터 이런 저런 말을 들었습니다, 보기에는 별로 그렇게 큰 문제가 없어 보이지만 혹시나로 나중에 실수할수 있는 일이 있을지도 모르니 노트에 적어서 기억하는 것이 좋겠다고 말을 해 주었습니다. 그리고 그 노부부는 집으로 돌아왔습니다. 두 양반이 tv를 보고 있는데 할아버지가 일어나서 부엌으로 가려고 일어났습니다. 할머니가 할아버지에게 “아이스크림 좀 가져다 줄래요?”라고 부탁했습니다. 할아버지가 알겠다고 했는데 할머니가 다시 말을 했습니다. 아이스크림 위에 딸기 좀 엊어주세요 그리고 웬만하며  메모지에 적어서 가지요 당신, 내가 말한 것 잊어버릴 것같은데,  그러자 할아버지가 “나 지금 부엌에 가는 중이야 안 잊어버려”그렇게 이야기 했습니다 한 20분이 지난후에 할아버지가 다시 부엌에서 베이컨과 계란을 가지고 돌아왔습니다. 그러자 그 할머니는 고개를 흔들면서 불쌍하다는 듯이 말했습니다. “내가 이럴줄 알았지 결국 내가 부탁한 토스트를 잊어버렸잖아요” 

In these days, it seems people are forgetting something important.  Let me explain human beings always did not realize something would be happening to them. In the age of Noah, people did not realize God’s wrath and His judgment. So when the great flooding swiped them out, nobody survived but Noah’s family. Do you remember the sin cities Sodom and Gomorrah? One day, God sent two angels to see what was happening in Sodom. But the people in the Sodom did not recognize the angels God sent. Moreover they said to Lot as it was written in Genesis, “Bring them out to us so that we may have relations with them” Their sins blinded them to know who the two men were. So God decided to punish Sodom.  Abraham tried to intervene  between God and Sodom. But it didn’t work. Finally God poured out fire on the city of Sodom. Even when Jesus came to this world, most people did not realize His time had come. They were forgetting something very important as like we do.

요사이의 사람들도 무엇인가 중요한 것을 잊어버리는 것 같습니다. 아니 보다 정확하게 말하면 우리 인간들은 무엇인가 정말로 중요한 것은 항상 잊어버렸던 과거가 있습니다. 노아의 시대에 사람들은 하나님의 분노와 그분의 심판을 잊어버렸습니다. 그래서 그 무시무시 한 홍수가 왔을 때에, 모든 사람이 죽었습니다. 여러분 소돔과 고모라 기억하시지요? 하나님이 천사들을 소돔에 보내서, 그 들이 얼마나 죄를 많이 짓는지 알아보려고 보내셨습니다. 소돔의 남자들은 그들이 천사인지도 알아보지 못하고, 그 천사가 묵고 있는 롯의 집에 가서 롯에게 “ 두 사람을 끌어내라 우리라 상관하리라” 말고 말을 합니다. 그들의 죄가 눈을 가려서 무엇인 중요한지, 그 들앞의 천사가 누구인지 알아보지 못하게 한 것입니다. 결국 아브라함이 하나님과 중재해서 그 성에 심판을 막아보려고 하지만 , 결국  그 성은 하나님의 정의의 심판을 받게 됩니다. 예수님이 이 땅에 오셨을 때에도 대부분의 사람들은 예수님을 잊어버리고 오셨습니다.

But unlike us God never forget His promises, He always did what he had said. That’s why we say God is faithful. Do you believe that? God surely keeps His word and He never fails to do what He intends to do. Once He makes a promise with his people, he surely carries it out. Once God decides He will bless someone who   follows Him, God grants His blessing assuredly. However once God determines a judgment on those who fall away from Him and are against Him, He surely will judge them. God said to king Solomon, “if you turn away and forsake the decrees and commands I have given you and go off to serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot Israel from my land, which I have given them, and will reject this temple I have consecrated for my Name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples” (2Chron7:20) and all of God’s word that was given to Solomon was fulfilled almost 1000 years later.   Do you realize that the Bible tells us that all of God’s word is performed as what He said to a hair’s breadth.      

그러나 우리와 다르게 하나님은 그분의 약속을 절대 잊어버리시지 않습니다. 그래서 우리는 하나님을 말할 때 신실한 하나님이시라고 말을 합니다. 하나님은 신실하게 당신의 약속을 지키시는 분이시며, 하나님께서 하시고자 했던 것을 꼭이루시는 분이 바로 우리의 하나님이십니다. 하나님께서 복 주시기로 하시면 꼭 복을 주시며, 또한 심판하시고자 하면 꼭 심판을 하시는 분이십니다.  하나님은 솔로몬 왕에게 이런 말씀을 하셨습니다.  너희가 돌이켜 나의 명령을 버리고 다른 신을 섬기면 내가 그 땅에서 너의 뿌리를 이 땅에서 뽑아내고 모든 민족중에 속담거리와 이야기 거리가 되게 하겠다. 결국 이런 하나님의 약속은 거의 천년후에 이루어지게 되는 것을 우리가 압니다. 성경은 하나님께서 계획하시는 모든 것이 일점 일획도 없이 이루어 질 것을 이야기 합니다.

What did Jesus who surely fulfills his word say to us today? Let us read the last part of verse 44, it says, “The Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him” He said that He will come without a warning. Unfortunately, people do not know this, more precisely, they seem they do not want to know, they try to ignore it intentionally likewise the people in the Noah’s age did. What is worse, the next coming of Jesus is not for salvation but for judgment. The Son of Man will suddenly and surely come to us to judge us according to what we’ve done. We often forget this truth written in the Bible. 

오늘 예수님께서 우리에게 말씀하시는 것은 무엇입니까? “이러므로 너희도 예비하고 있으라 생각지 않은 때에 인자가 오리라” 예수님께서 미리 경고하지 않고 갑작 스럽게 어느 순간에 다시 우리에게 오신다는 것입니다. 불행하게 사람들은 이것을 모르고 있습니다. 기억하지 않고 잊어버리고 있습니다. 아니 더 정확하게 말한다면 알고 싶어하지도 않고 그저 무시하고 싶어합니다. 마치 노아의 시대에 사람들의 노아의 방주를 보면서도 웃고 노아를 조롱했을 것 처럼 말입니다. 다가오는 미래에 대해서 관심이 없어 보입니다. 그런데 여러분 아십니까? 문제는 이제 다시 오시는 예수님은 우리의 구원을 위해서 오시는 것이 아니라 우리의 심판을 위해서 오신다는 것입니다. 예수님이 어느 순간에 우리의 모든 것을 판단하시기 위해 이 땅에 오신다는 것입니다. 그런데 우리는 이런 사실을 종종 잊어버리고 있는 것입니다.

Interestingly, most of major religions, some spiritual movements and modern philosophy insist that the history of human beings is like a continues circle. To them there is no end and judgment as taught by the Bible. Hindus and Buddhists believe in reincarnation and they believe, when they die, they would be born as another being. They think they will be born as a human or an animal. It is depends on what they had done when they lived in the world. If they did good work, they would be born of a noble birth. If they failed to do good thing, they would be born as some kind of animal. There is no end of the human history to them. All of life is reincarnated.

재미있는 것은 세계의 큰 종교나, 아니면 어떤 영적인 것을 찾는 사람들 혹은 철학에서는 우리 인류의 끝이 없다고 이야기 한다는 것입니다. 무슨말이냐면 이 지구에 종말도 없고 심판 같은 것은 더욱이 없다고 말을 합니다. 힌두교나 불교에서는 무엇을 말합니까? 환생을 말합니다. 인간이 한번 죽으면 다시 태어나는데 살아있을 때에 착한 일을 많이 하면 왕이나 귀족으로 다시 태어날 것이고, 나쁜일을 많이 하면 짐승으로 다시 태어나게 된다고 하는 것입니다. 그러므로 예수가 올필요도 없고 그저 우리리는 환생하면서 자동적으로 영원히 그렇게 살게 된다는 것입니다.

What is the great challenge to the Christianity recently? The New age movement is the one of great challenges to Christianity.  New age’s belief is that they believe in Pantheism. It says, “All that exists is God, God is all that exists” They also believed in Karma that the sum of person’s lifetime’s actions, determine their fate in the next life. There is no God who judges us, there is no God who punishes us, and there is no God who made heaven and hell.

요사이 기독교를 제일 많이 대적하는 것이 무엇입니까? 뉴에이지 운동이라는 것입니다. 그들은 이렇게 말합니다. 모든 것은 신이고, 신은 모든 것에 있다는 것입니다. 저나 여러분이나 신이고, 신은 우리 모두에게 있다는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 지금 세상에서 열심히 살면 나중 세상에서 좋게 태어난다는 환생비슷한 것을 믿고 있습니다. 그러니 그 뉴에이지 속에는 모든 것이 신이니, 그 신을 판단하는 일도 없고, 우리를 벌줄 하나님 같은 것도 없다고 그들은 이야기 하며, 천국과 지옥은 아예 없는 것이라고 말을 합니다.

But the Bible surely says to us, “It is appointed unto man to die once, after that is the judgement” (Heb9:27) and “Each person is to be judged according to what he has done”(Rev 20:13) Now Jesus is with God and He prays for us to God. But the time when Jesus will descend from heaven will surely come. You know what? This Jesus second coming is for judgment.  As you know, Jesus is supposed to come twice. The first coming was for our salvation, He came to us 2000 years ago in Israel. After Jesus finished his salvation ministry he ascended to Heaven. When Jesus went up to heaven again, two men dressed in white stood by and said, “Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus who has been taken from you into heaven will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven” I do not want you to overlook this, I want you to remember this second coming of Jesus It will surely happen even though modern people do not want to hear the message of judgment and the end of world but nobody knows when it will be happen.

그런데 성경은 오늘 우리에게 확실하게 말씀하고 있습니다. “한번 죽는 것은 사람에게 정하신 것이요 그 후에는 심판이 있으리니” 말씀하고 있습니다. 그리고 계시록에는 어떤 말씀이 있습니까? “각 사람이 자기의 행위대로 심판을 받고”라고 우리에게 말씀하고 있습니다. 지금은 예수님이 하나님의 우편에서 우리를 위해서 기도하고 계시지만 언젠가 예수님은 하늘에서부터 우리에게도 다시 한번 오실 것입니다. 처음에 오신 것이 구원 사역을 위해서 2000년전에 이스라엘에서 오신 것입니다. 그 예수님께서 모든 사역을 마치실 때 하늘로 들려 올라가시는데 그 것을 넋을 잃고 보고 있던 제자들에게 그 주위에 있던 천사는 그 제자들에게 이렇게 이야기 합니다. “갈릴리 사람들이 어찌하여 서서 하늘을 쳐다 보느냐 너희 가운데서 하늘로 올리우신 이 예수는 하늘로 가심을 본 그래로 오시리라” 말합니다. 사랑하는 여러분 저는 여러분이 이것을 그냥 쉽게 생각하지 말고 아주 진지하게 생각하기를 바랍니다. 예수님이 우리에게 다시 오시는 재림은 분명히 성경에 약속이 된 것이며, 사람들이 듣기 싫어하는 메시지일지라고 우리 예수님은 심판하시기 위해 다시 오신다는 것입니다.

So then did you prepare for Jesus’ second coming? Are you ready to meet Him? We should prepare for His coming because He will come to judge and He will give us reward or punishment. Jesus explained this truth with the parable of the good servant and the wicked servant. While the master is away, he delegates some work to his servants. There were two kinds of servants. The first is a good servant because he worked faithfully. And the second servant is bad because he didn’t work moreover he abused his fellow servant and drunk with drunkards. When the master returns, he will know who is good and who is bad. The master gives reward to the one who is faithful and punishes the wicked servant. In the same manner, when Jesus comes, He will examine us and give us reward of punishment according to what we have done. 

그렇다면 여러분은 과연 예수님의 재림을 준비하고 계십니까? 여러분은 예수님을 맞을 준비가 되어 있습니까?  우리는 예수님이 오시는 것을 그냥 맞는 것이 아니라 준비하는 것이 필요합니다. 왜냐하면 예수님이 오실 때에는 그냥 오시는 것이 아니라 상을 주시든지 아니면 벌을 주시든지 하기 때문입니다. 예수님은 이런 진리를 오늘 보니까 착한 종과 나쁜 종의 이야기를 통해서 이야기 하십니다.  어느 주인이 멀리 여행할 때에 그는 자기의 일들을 자신의 종들에게 맡겼습니다. 한 종은 착한 종이어서 주인이 보든지 안 보든지 열심히 일을 했고, 또 다른 종은 하라는 일은 하지 않고 자기의 동료 종들을 때리고 온통 술친구들과 술만 먹고 있었습니다.  아마 주인이 오려면 시간이 한참 걸릴것이라고 생각했던 것이지요. 그런데 그 이야기와 마찬가지로 예수님은 우리에게 무언가를 자신의 일을 맡기셨고 , 이제 다시 오셔서 우리의 행위에 따라서 상을 주시기도하고 벌을 주시기도 한다는 것입니다.

We as Christians have two callings. The first calling is a call from the world. God called us to save from the depth of sin. 1 John3:1 says, “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” The first calling is to save us from the world. I believe that all of you were called by Jesus to be saved. Amen? When God calls us for the first time, it’s about our salvation.

우리 기독교인은 두가지의 부르심이 있습니다. 먼저 첫번째의 부르심은 세상으로부터 부르시는 부르심입니다. 하나님은 우리를 죄악 가운데서 부르셨습니다. 요한 일서 3장 1절에 의하면 “보라 아버지께서 어떠한 사랑을 우리에게 주사 하나님의 자녀라 일컬음을 얻게 하셨는고” 우리를 부르사 하나님의 자녀로 부름을 받게 되었습니다. 이 첫번째의 부르심은 바로 세상으로 부터의 부르심입니다. 저는 우리 모두가 하나님께 부르심을 받은 사람이라고 믿습니다. 아멘? 하나님이 우리를 부르시는 처음 부름은 우리를 구원하시기 위해서 부르시는 것입니다.

And there is one more calling. God did not stop calling us, He calls us one more time to serve him. The word vocation means occupation. The word of root “Voc” in vocation means “call” This calling is the God’s second calling to us.  As the first calling of God is about salvation, the second calling of God is about how to serve our God. God gave each of us our own talents in order to work in every sphere of life, as a wife and a husband in a family, as worker in a working place, a full time worker like me in a church. God also bestows each one of us our own special gift. Playing a musical instrument, cooking, teaching, and even some spiritual gift, with all of these that we were given from God, we are serving God as a servant.

그런데 그 부르심은 한가지가 더 있습니다. 하나님은 그저 한번만 우리를 부르시지 않고 우리를 다시 한번 부르셔서 당신을 섬기게 하십니다. 우리가 직업을 말하는 영어중에는 vocation이라는 말이 있는데 거기서 voc는 부르다는 뜻을 가지고 있습니다. 처음의 부르심이 구원에 관한 것이라면 두번째 하나님이 우리를 부르실 때는 하니님을 섬기게 하시기 위해서 부르는 것입니다. 우리가 한국말로 천직이라고 하지 않습니까? 하늘이 준 할일을 말할 때 그렇게 이야기 합니다. 하나님은 우리에게 여러가지의 달란트를 주셔서 우리들의 삶의 영역에서 일하게 하십니다. 가정에는 남편과 부인으로 직장에서는 여러가지 일하는 사람으로 또 교회에서 이렇게 저처럼 풀타임으로 일하는 사람들도 있습니다. 하나님은 우리 모두에게 그렇게 일하게 하십니다. 또 하나님은 각자마다 특별한 은사를 주셨습니다. 음악을 하는 사람들, 요리를 잘하는 사람, 잘 가르치는 사람, 그리고 영적인 은사를 가진 사람들도 있습니다. 그런데 이 모든 것은 하나님께서 우리 각자에게 주신 것이고 우리는 그것으로 하나님께 봉사하는 것입니다.

When God give us talents, time, health and all the resources that we have, there is a clear and solid purpose to glorify God. All of our lives are supposed to be used for God and our responsibility is to bear fruit with His gifts given to us.  That’s why we need to be attentive and diligent like the first servant worked hard and consistently. When the master came without warning, the first servant was found working and the master looked at the fruit of his labor.

하나님께서 우리에게 각자의 재능을 주시고, 시간을 주시고, 또 움직일수 있는 건강을 주시고, 우리에게 여러가지 것들을 주신 이유는 우리가 가진 것 크나 작으나 이것들을 가지고 하나님께 영광돌리기 위해서 하나님께서 우리에게 허락하신 것입니다.  마치 주인이 종에게 자신의 일을 맡긴 것처럼 하나님은 우리에게 여러가지 재능을 맡기셨습니다. 그렇기 때문에 우리는 열심히 일해야 합니다. 나중에 우리의 주인되신 예수님께서 다시 오실 때에 우리는 첫번째 종처럼 열심히 일하는 모습으로 하나님 앞에 나가야 하기 때문입니다.

The master rewarded the first servant. Let us read verse 46-47 “It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.” What does this mean? This means the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns. God will provide all of his resources to his good servant. He will give power, wisdom, wealth, health and much more to reward the servant who bears fruits. My brother and sister! Who is our God? God whom we believe in Him want to reward to those who work for Him. Do you believe that? Then keep up your good working! Do not step back! Serve our glorious God in every sphere of your life! He will come to you suddenly, if He see you are working good, He gladly rewards you with his possessions.

그렇게 열심히 일한 첫번째 종에게 주인은 상을 주었습니다. 46절과 47절을 보면 “주인이 올때에 그 종의 이렇게 하는 것을 보면 그 종이 복이 있으리로다. 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 주인이 그 모든 소유를 저에게 맡기리라” “그 소유를 저에게 맡기리라 이 말이 무슨 말입니까? 이것은 그 주인이 자신의 것을 그 종에게 주어 책임지게 하겠다는 것입니다. 하나님은 당신의 선한 종들에게 능력을 주십니다. 지혜를 주십니다, 건강과 복을 주십니다. 종이 열매를 맺은 것 보다 더욱 풍성하게 주시는 분이 우리의 하나님이 되십니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분 하나님이 누구십니까? 우리가 믿는 하나님은 그를 찾는 자들에게 복주시는 하나님이십니다. 하나님에게 충성된 자에게 은혜주시는 분이 바로 하나님이십니다. 여러분 믿으십니까? 그렇다면 우리가 이제 그냥 있어서는 안됩니다. 우리가 조금 어려운 일있다고, 조금 마음에 힘든 일이 있다고 사람핑계 대면서, 물질과 건강 핑계대면서, 상황따지면서 뒤로 물러나는 것을 우리 주님은 원하시지 않습니다. 우리들의 삶의 모든 영역에서 우리 주님을 섬겨야 합니다. 주님은 반드시 오십니다. 그 주님이 오실 때에 우리가 충성되이 일하는 것을 보시면, 그것이 바로 우리에게 큰 축복이 되는 줄 믿습니다.

As there will be reward, there will be punishment also. In today’s parable, Jesus spoke of a wicked servant. This servant was totally different from the first servant. He beat his fellow servants moreover he ate and drank with drunkard. He did not work at all, he just lived a life for himself, more precisely saying, he just wasted his life. What about you? When someday you will suddenly stand in front of Jesus and when He questions to you “My son! What have you done for me? ” What would you say? What did you do with your time, money and all of your resources?

우리가 또 한가지 기억해야 할 사실은 상이 있는 곳에 벌도 있다는 것입니다. 오늘 본문에서 보면 예수님은 악한 종에 대해서 언급하시는데, 이 종은 앞의 선한 종과는 전혀 틀린 종입니다. 그는 동료 종들을 구타하고 모살게 굽니다. 일부러 괴롭힙니다. 자기 맘대로 삽니다. 그것도 모자라서 술에 취해 있습니다. 그는 일도 하지 않고 그저 자기 자신만을 위해서 살았습니다. 보다 정확하게 말한다면 그는 자신의 삶을 낭비한 것입니다. 여러분은 어떻습니까? 언젠가 여러분이 주님 앞에 설때에 주님은 물어보실 것입니다. “내 아들아 딸아 나를 위해서 무엇을 했느냐? “여러분 뭐라고 대답하시겠습니까? 오늘 여러분이 가지고 있는 시간과 물질과 능력을 가지고 여러분 무엇을 하셨습니까?

We may think like that God understand me and my situation, I was too busy and tired to do anything for Him but I know in my heart that I really want to do something for Him. Or we think if God allows me more time and money, I will serve Him, now I am too poor to do anything.  My brother and sister! Look at this passage, how did the master judge his servant? He judged his servant according to what they were doing or not doing. You know the parable of Talent, in that story the master judged his servants according to how many talents they earned! Your mind and your situation are very important but those are not good enough to be an excuse for not working.

우리는 흔히 생각하기를 하나님께서 나를 이해하시고 나의 상황을 이해하실 것입니다. 너무 나쁜 삶을 살고 있고 또 피곤해서 무언가 하나님을 위해서 할 수는 없는 그런 삶을 주님은 아실 것이라고 생각합니다. 내 마음은 정말 무엇인가를 하고 싶지만 하지 못하는 나를 주님은 이해하실 것이라고 생각합니다. 아니면 하나님께서 나에게 시간도 조금 더 주시고 물질을 조금 더 주시면 정말 잘 섬길것이라고 생각하기도 합니다. 꼭 나에게 무엇이 있어야지 섬길수 있다고 생각하기도 합니다. 사랑하는 성도 여러분 오늘 본문을 보십시오. 그 주인이 종을 어떻게 심판하였습니까? 주인은 종이 무엇을 얼마나 했나 안 했나를 보고 심판했다는 것입니다. 여러분이  달란트의 비유를 아시지만 거기서도 주인은 종이 얼마나 많이 남겼나를 보고 심판합니다.  여러분 오해하지 마십시오. 우리의 구원은 하나님께서 거져 주시는 것입니다. 그러나 구원 이후의 우리의 삶은 철저하게 변화되어서 이제는주님을 위한 삶으로 변화되어야 합니다. 나만 보고 나만 사는 삶이 아니라 하나님을 위한 삶 그리고 다른 사람을 섬기는 삶으로 철저하게 변화되어야 합니다. 여러분들의 마음도 중요하고 상황도 어렵습니다. 그러나 우리의 모든 상황으로 주님앞에 핑계댈수가 없습니다.  십자가위에서 생명을 주신 주님께 무엇을 드려도 아깝지 않은 우리입니다. 그러므로 우리는 시간, 돈, 건강 핑계 댈수가 없습니다.

How did the master pay back the wicked servant who beat his fellow servant? The master said that he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. My brother and sister! I do not want you to overlook that. The Bible said, “We all will stand before God’s judgment seat” Nobody can avoid it. You are not supposed to live only for yourself but for God. Do not make yourself to be at easy like the wicked servant who thought that his master is staying away a long time, I have enough time. We never know when the master will come.

 동료 종을 때리고 못살게 군 그 종을 주인이 어떻게 했습니까? 주인이 말했습니다. 엄히 때리고 외식하는 자의 받는 율에 처하리니 라고 말입니다. 그런데  여기서 엄히 때리고라는 말은 사실 무서운 말입니다. 영어로는 cut him입니다. 무슨 말입니까? 자르라는 말이지요. 가장 무서운 벌중의 하나입니다.  사랑하는 성도 여러분 제발 이 하나님의 말씀을 그냥 흘려 듣지 마십시오. 성경은 말씀하고 있습니다. 우리 모두는 하나님의 심판의 보좌앞에 서게 될것이라고 강조합니다. 그 누구도 피해갈수 가 없습니다. 오늘 사랑하는 여러분은 나 혼자 대접받기 위해서 살아가는 존재가 이제는 아닙니다. 하나님을 섬기며 이웃을 섬기라고 부름을 받은 것입니다. 주인이 멀리 갔으니 아직 시간이 많이 남았다라고 생각한 종처럼 아직도 죽을 날도 멀고 주님이 오실 것 같지도 않다고 생각하며 마음 편하게 있으십니까? 우리는 언제 죽을지 언제 주님이 오실지 알지 못합니다. 

According to the Bible, in today’s passage, all of us could be categorized into two kinds of servants. Some of us are working fine. bearing fruit in every sphere of life, making a beautiful family, they are the aroma of Christ to those who are being saved and those who are perishing in every place. On the contrary, there are wicked servants those who do not work or don’t even know what they must do.  Are you a good servant or a wicked servant?

오늘 본 것 처럼 두가지 종류의 종이 있습니다. 어떤 사람은 착한 종일 것이고, 어떤 사람은 또 악한 종에 가까울수도 있습니다. 착한 종은 계속해서 좋은 열매를 맺을 것이고, 가정에서나 직장에서나 교회에서나 항상 칭찬받는 사람일 것입니다. 그러나 악한 종은 열매 맺지 못할 뿐만 아니라 무엇을 해야 하는지도 모르는 그런 사람입니다. 여러분은 어디에 속하십니까?

Revelation 3:19 says, “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent” So my brother and sister! come back, turn away from the life following the world and to be a good servant. Don’t you hear God’s voice that seeks servants who would work for him eagerly. Jesus questioned you “who then is the faithful and wise servant?” May God bless you so that you become a faithful and wise servant who will be rewarded.  Are you ready?  

계시록 3장 19절에서 말씀하고 있습니다. “무릇 내가 사랑하는 자를 책망하여 징계하노니 그러므로 네가 열심을 내라 회개하라” 말씀하고 있습니다. 그러므로 사랑하는 형제 자매 여러분 이제는 돌아오십시오, 악한 종의 길에서 선하고 착한 종의 길로 돌아오십시오. 오늘도 하나님은 일군이 부족해서 선한 종을 찾으십니다.  오늘 성경은 목소리 높여서 찾고 있습니다. “충성되고 지혜있는 종이 되어 주인의 일을 할 사람이 누구뇨?” 사랑하는 여러분 충성되고 지혜로운 종이 되시어 2009년 하나님께 상받는 여러분이 되시기를 주님의 이름으로 축원합니다. 충성된 종의 길로 가십시오. 준비되셨습니까?
